Happy New Year! We
have been pretty low key this month. All three of us have had a cold
thanks to the cold weather here and visiting family over Christmas. We
are doing better now, which is great! Speaking of cold weather,
Matthew got to "play" in his first snow. Matthew is liking to try to sit up and is
getting pretty good balance. Right now his trick is to roll over onto
his left side(and this side only) and then gets stuck. If you tickle
his back he will roll back and squirms like crazy, but other than
tickling his back he stays on his side.
Matthew has really started to giggle and laugh and is generally a
very happy baby. He is very alert and wants to be involved in whatever
is going on and doesn't like to be left behind. If we leave his line of
sight, he lets us know he is not happy about it. Matthew has also
found his voice this past couple of weeks and pretty much "talks" all
day long. It is pretty funny. He wakes up in the morning and just lays
in his crib and talks and talks for a bit and then realizes that he
hasn't been picked up and cries. This little guy has really packed on
the pounds these last two months. He is weighing it at about 15 lbs,
his little face is getting round and filling out. Overall, we pretty
much just get a kick out of everything he does and laugh at him alot.
