Objection!

Well today I did my civic duty and reported to Jury Duty. Yes, I know you are all thinking "wow Jen how cool!" Anyway, it was actually kind of a cool experience to see how our judicial system works. So today they were choosing the jurors for a case to go to trial. It was the judges first jury as a judge. We all went into the courtroom and the lawyers from each side asked questions about how we felt about certain things and if we felt it would hinder our ability to listen to all of the facts and give this man a fair trial.

I was Juror #1 which apparently made me the "go to" person for one of the lawyers. She kept asking me questions and then the opposing side would say "objection". You would think this would make her stop wanting to talk to me and move on the the other 50 plus jurors, but she just kept on going and trying to rephrase her questions. It was a little funny. Today I am happy that I wasn't chosen to be a juror on the trial because it didn't sound like one I wanted to hear about. Overall, it was a cool experience and fun to be doing our civic duty. We truly live in a great country!
