Little moments....

Lately my boys have been so hot and cold with each other - okay let's be honest- Matthew has been hot and cold with Cannon.  The evil mom in me sometimes can't wait for the time when Cannon finally retaliates even just a little.  I am not sure what Matthew will do but sometimes I think I might just laugh.

So yesterday they played outside in the backyard together laughing and running for almost an hour.  It was so  much fun to watch.  Also yesterday we had the complete opposite where I couldn't keep Matthew away from Cannon and Cannon would scream and come running everytime Matthew got close to him.  I am pretty sure Matthew likes to torture his brother and in turn torture me(both good and bad:)  He is much like his dad in that he likes the reaction.  Today Matthew in a rare moment of sharing saw that I had given him something and hadn't given any to Cannon - he offered on the spot to share and went over to cannon and gave him a bite.  I was kind of in shock as all morning he had been torturing Cannon.

Sometimes I forget that there are moments of joy between the two of them because they get forgotten by all of the craziness.  So I am thankful for those rare moments where I can see the glimpse of my boys to being the best of friends!

November is National Adoption Month

To kick it off, the Houston area Families Supporting Adoption (FSA) is posting adoption stories of people who live in this area.  Our little story is posting today but I always think it is fun to hear other stories of how adoption is blessing so many lives.  So come check it out!

Our random Halloween 2010

Since we just got back from Disney World and I had Disneyitis before I didn't really think too much about costumes and such.  I had the thought to be Disney World tourists, but decided I didn't want to spend $100 on mickey ears for all of us especially when the boys wouldn't really wear them.  So Eric went upstairs and found costumes for our boys. He did a pretty good job!  Cannon totally figured out if he said "trick or treat" that people gave him candy and wasn't too shy about saying it to anyone.  His little fist had a really good grip on any candy he got.

Disney World 2010

For those of you who don't know yet - We went to Disney World!  This is kind of our first official real vacation we took with the kids.  We met up with Kristy, Eric's sister, and Jary with their family including Ben, Kate and Abby (all 3 years old) and Jack who is 6, Dave and Alan also came along.  It was sure nice to have enough adults to help with all of the kids  We stayed in a big condo that worked for all of us and if you have a big group I recommend it.   We had a great time once we figured out that you can't do a whole park in one day and that 3 year olds are a lot slower than teenagers:)  Thanks everyone for a fun trip!

Ready for bed Kate, Matthew, Abby and Ben in the pjs we had for them the first night!
The adults had matching t-shirts as well.  Aren't we so cute? ;)

Look how strong Eric is.  This is officially called the "big Golf Ball" in our family.
Who would have guessed that:)

We did a character dinner the first day we were there at Epcot.
We met Mickey, Chip and Dale and Goofy!  All of the kdis but Cannon loved
meeting the characters.  It was fun to have a few pics.

The Big Clan at Disney World on Monday.  We had a pretty good time and got on about
6 rides the whole day.  We got in Dumbo, the Carousel, It's a Small World, Peter Pan, Pirates,
a few big kid rides and Aladdin.

Matthew had so much fun driving the car, riding on trains, and riding Splash Mountain
but his all time favorite ride was the MONORAIL.  What!?!
We way could have saved some money and just taken a monorail ride.
He would have been just as happy :)  Between Ben singing songs about the trains and how they love him and Matthew screaming about the monorails trying to "top" him.  We had a lot of train and monorail talk on this trip:)
We had to buy Matthew a toy monorail on our way out at the airport.

The silly hat picture

Hollywood Studios - love the Tower of Terror!

Matthew loved the trains at the different parks.
This is at Animal Kingdom on the Safari ride.

Alan and Abby on the parking lot tram - another favorite.

Abby and Matthew with all the tools from Handy Manny.
They had a whole Playhouse Disney show that the kids loved
