Catch up

One night as we were all loading up in the car Cannon decided to run from us in the garage....not a good idea.  He got a pretty good cut on his cute chubby cheek.  We got a cute picture out of it though especially with his new pose - "the head tilt".

Matthew and his dog.  Lately "dog" has been everywhere with us(primary, the gym, outside, the airport).
I seriously need to dedicate an entire scrapbook page to this stuffed animal.

We played outside today and it was so much fun!

Matthew has figured out how to pedal on his tricycle and is so proud!

Yep today they both did the head tilt - so funny

Glass Glass and more Glass

Some of you might remember our lovely cut-out windows in our upstairs game room.  We love how open it makes our house feel.  Well a new couch downstairs resulted in furniture upstairs and a major worry that our children would climb up and fall out of said windows.  NOT a good thing.  So we debated what to do for awhile, checked out some options and well decided to put in glass windows.  It looks better than I thought it would and now we have a nice safe upstairs:)

And a few days later a sippee cup into Matthew's window:)
We love the glass people!

Valentine's Birthday Boy

Since Eric loves his birthday and loves pictures of himself even more I thought I better post a picture of him wearing "his favorite" birthday hat!

Early morning breakfast!

His two favorite people helping him celebrate!  Notice Cannon's new pose "the head tilt"

At least someone loves my birthday hat!

Eric's birthday happened to fall on a week when the rest of us were exchanging the stomach flu.  I cancelled two birthday celebrations because of it.   So when I asked him what he wanted for his birthday treat - Banana Splits. This is what it looked like before he got to it.....

and after all of the toppings and chocolate and caramel. DELICIOUS!
I had planned to have a few friends over to celebrate and just happened to have all the stuff to put on banana splits - just not a party!
Happy Birthday Eric!  Thanks so much for being a great husband and a great friend. I feel so lucky to be married to you.  I love you!

and so it begins

My boys have started to be co - conspirators in doing things they know they shouldn't.  They are going to give me a run for my money!
I was in getting ready and usually they will sit and watch a Mickey and I check on them and they are in the same spot.  Not this week  here is a run down of one day this week in a manner of minutes- literally.

 - I came out and I heard giggles under a blanket - they had gotten up on the counter and grabbed the jar that hold's peanut m&m's and were literally shoving them in their mouths as fast as they could.
 - I came out to check on them again and they had opened the door to the garage and were playing just inside the garage.
 - Matthew somehow got my toothbrush and was brushing his teeth - YUCK!!
 - they dumped every box of toys out onto the floor and scattered them everywhere
 - They got up onto the tv stand and got the remotes and Eric's xbox controllers and were playing
 - They have started giggling together which you might think is really cute (and it is) but it also means they are usually doing something they shouldn't be :)

It went on like this all day and I can't remember all the other things they did but seriously I couldn't take my eyes off of them.  They were into something or doing something or being naughty to one another.  I am going to have to start showering at 6 am before they wake up - YUCK!

"Primary Dirty"

Any guesses what that is?  It is actually the Pinewood Derby, but here at our house it is affectionately called the "Primary dirty".  A couple of weeks ago I mentioned to Eric that Matthew would love to go with him to the Pinewood Derby race the scouts were doing the next week.  I was thinking - score a night with just Cannon.  Eric had bigger plans.  The next Saturday Eric had the boys for a bit and ended up at the scout shop buying pinewood derby cars.  To make a long story short, Matthew and Eric worked on the car together.  There may have been a few extra hours put in by someone I love sanding down the wheels, the nails and doing something outside in the garage.  But all in all, the pinewood derby was a lot of fun.  Our car was too heavy (and we are not cub scouts yet) so we raced it after all the other races were done but Matthew had a great time.  Now we play "primary dirty" at home with the car and the race tracks.
